The series P42-T/A sensors, all of which have an analogue 0-10V / 4-20mA output and two switching outputs, are programmed via an RS232 or RS485 interface. Characteristic curve, dead zone, set points, sensitivity, electronic filters, response time, and sensor addresses are optimally adapted to the measuring task. For communication with the computer, no special adapter is required, a direct access to the interface on the sensor is possible.
The series P42-M sensors consist of an external sensor head and an evaluation unit, which drives the head and evaluates the measured values and transmits them to the outside. Two analogue outputs 0-10V and 4-20mA; two adjustable switching outputs (PNP), two switching outputs, which indicate the position of the object above or below the analogue range, an RS232 interface and a bit parallel- word serial interface for driving a digital display are available.
