About Cemp
Safety specialist
Established in 1954, Cemp was among the first companies in Italy to manufacture flameproof motors. Over the years, the product range has broadened introducing flameproof motors with brake, electric pumps for printing machines, flameproof motors for Group IIC gases and for mining. In 1998 Cemp entered a new growth phase joining a large group of private investors and in 2000 it acquired Atav (nowadays Cemp France) a French company specializing in small aluminium flameproof motors. In November 2007 Cemp was acquired by ABG Group, seven years later Cemp joint Regal Beloit.
Who is Regal Beloit
Our roots, established more than half a century ago, originated in the domestic manufacture of metal cutting tools and gear boxes. In 1955 we were known as Beloit Tool and set up shop in a roller rink in Beloit, Wisconsin. We have moved our corporate headquarters and re-branded our company several times since 1955. We currently reside in downtown Beloit, Wisconsin and are now known as simply “Regal.”
